We've said it lots of times — although there are so many kid-friendly activities surrounding Easter, the Sunday celebration isn't just a day for children. Sure, outside of the religious celebration, the spring holiday is, for the most part, dedicated to easy DIY crafts, chocolate bunnies and a good egg hunt for the younger ones. But no one said that the adults can't get in on the fun, too.
In fact, one of the great things about being an adult is that there are so many more creative ways to take your Easter egg hunt to the next level. Just look at our unique list of adult Easter egg hunt ideas that involve everything from mini booze bottles, coupons and a "golden ticket" to trivia and truth-or-dare. There's such a wide variety of ideas that you'll have no problem picking the hunt that feels the most on par for you and your friends (or family). That said, you can always skip to really adult options if your group wants to do the hunt all together with the little kids.
Enjoy some of the prize suggestions mentioned below, or check out our favorite Easter gifts for adults to heat up the competition and give everyone something really big to fight for. And afterward, take the edge off with some Easter treats or co*cktails.
1
Fancy Chocolates Egg Hunt
Although we'll never say no to chocolate, we can't help but be partial to the really decadent, and occasionally expensive, stuff — stuff the kiddies won't appreciate the way we do. Instead of filling eggs with the classic options, opt for high-quality candy bars and truffles so that digging into the goodies at the end of the hunt is even better.
2
Boozy Jelly Bean-Filled Eggs
If real alcohol feels a little aggressive for an egg hunt in a public place, try filling your eggs with boozy jelly bean flavors such as piña colada, champagne, mimosa and mojito. They won’t actually get you buzzed, but the motif gives the hunt a more grown-up twist.
3
Scratch-Offs
Replace candy with scratch-off tickets for a more exciting hunt. Even if they don't win, there's still a thrill while waiting for the reveal. You can go with real ones, or fun Easter-themed ones to reveal a prize of your choice.
