We’ve taken the addicting (and super popular) bang bang sauce recipe, and tossed with it with cauliflower. YUM! This recipe for bang bang cauliflower is totallybased on my most popular recipe here on WS, my paleo bang bang shrimp tacos. This recipe is just a little more appetizer-ish, and perfect for the vegetarians in your life – or simply a way to add a flavorful veggie based meal to your routine.

As someone who used to HATE cauliflower, this recipe should be a testament of how good it ends up!Cauliflower rice may be the most popular cauliflower item right now, but it’s also great to make cauliflower pizza bites, cauliflower burgers, sesame chicken-style cauliflower, cauliflower grits, and so much more.

How To Make Bang Bang Cauliflower

This easy bang bang cauliflower recipe makes a lovely main course or side dish. It’s even fun to serve on toothpicks for a healthy appetizer at a dinner party.

Here are the quick and simple instructions on how to make this skinny bang bang cauliflower.

  • Prep the cauliflower. Cut the cauliflower into small bite sized pieces.

TIP: Check out this cauliflower rice guide where I also show you how to cut cauliflower quickly!

  • Prep the breading. In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, tapioca, coconut flour, water, salt, and paprika.
  • Coat the cauliflower. Toss the cauliflower with the breading, until each piece is coated.
  • Bake the cauliflower. Arrange the pieces in a single layer on a prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the bang bang sauce and toss with cooked cauliflower. Time to dig into your cauliflower appetizer!

TIP: You can vary the amount of sriracha and cayenne to your liking. For example, I used more in this photo:

…And less when I made it again another time (less sriracha and cayenne = less red-orange tint!):

What Does Bang Bang Cauliflower Taste Like?

This bang bang cauliflower recipe is a little sweet, a little spicy, a little creamy, and a whole LOT of flavor.

It’s similar to sriracha, but because it’s mixed with other ingredients, it’s not as spicy as sriracha straight. If you like it even more spicy, you can add extra sriracha.

How Do You Store Bang Bang Cauliflower?

Store this easy cauliflower recipe in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

To heat it up, either warm it in a skillet with a little bit of olive oil, or heat it in the microwave. Because it has a breading on the cauliflower, it’s best fresh!

Can You Freeze Cooked Bang Bang Cauliflower?

Yes, you can freeze this bang bang cauliflower recipe. Keep the cauliflower and sauce separate, so that the breading doesn’t get soggy.

To defrost the bang bang cauliflower, place in the fridge the overnight. Then reheat the cauliflower, toss with the bang bang sauce, and serve.
