Basically a story about a guy Yuu who's aiming to be mangaka writer, but isn't getting success as his writings are basically mediocre. But he finds out his talented younger sister sakura has secretly written a novel which has become a big hit and is basically about a brother sister relationship.

I would put this simply. I hate bad reviews. I hate giving them honestly. It hurts to see how much work is put into and then me marking it off as a 6. But I am here typing this out not because it's a bad anime, but it's an inhumane and disgusting sight at how a studio could end up slowly rotting towards the end with such horrific results.

Story 5/10 :
I'm 100% sure that the story has potential. But something's getting in the way of it.
A sister who wants to bang his brother with other light novelists competing each other... If that's how comedy works for this series, then there might be no hope at all.
Since I haven't finish this yet, I can't give my full opinion on this.

Art/Animation 2/10 :
The funny thing about this series is the art and animation. Even close ups are badly drawn due to lack budget perhaps. The way the Voice Actors talk doesn't match up ...

Holy hell. What a chore to watch. This is one of those shows that starts with an interesting premise, but then completely abandons it and all logic for constant fan-service and bad jokes. This was an incredibly difficult show to finish.

The main characters are your basic brother/sister complex pair. The side characters are annoying and forgettable. I honestly don't think I liked anyone in this show. It was a chore getting through the endless bad attempts as humor and the creation of conflict.

Brave enough to get published as an ongoing light novel series, brave enough to get adapted into a 10 episode anime, and brave enough for this anime to be simulcast on crunchyroll, being one of the highest advertised of the season. Brave enough to do all this, while being the actual worst series I've stuck through.

Joining the likes of "Eromanga Sensei" and "Oreimo" as one of those trashy little sister anime, "My Sister, My Writer" truly shows us just how far society has regressed. I love little sister anime ...

I want to start this intro off by asking a simple question: Why? Clearly, what we have here is a product dedicated solely to adhere to the tastes and fetishes of a very niche market, but even then, the fact that it is so bottom barrel that this product doesn’t even meet the basic standards for the sub genre is mind-boggling to me considering just how low those standards were to begin with.

FULL OF CLICHES. HORRIBLE "COMEDY".

The "Imouto" story is dangerous to begin with. If the plot and characters aren't well structured, you and up having a despicable result like that.

The girls where incredibly shallow and annoying, I couldn't look up to anyone of them. The little sister, had a respectful image, but her behaviour became at least stupid. The brother had the typical behaviour of a naive harem character, so I don't blame him for this.

I usually watch this type of anime so i was excited to start it when the season began and high hopes. Though, in the end the whole thing was mediocre at best.

The characters felt like i have seen everyone of them in different anime. None! felt original in the slightest. The main character of course goes into a typical shouting confession towards the little sister, which was so predictable you knew from episode one that it was going to happen at the end.

What I've deduced is that if you watched it ironically, which is enjoying its horrendous art, characters and story because it's sometimes fun to watch garbage, then yes, in fact you can enjoy Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai.

I've stuck around for this long because I want to see how utterly shocking and appalling this series can get. I get personal enjoyment out of making routine fun out of it.
