What are you guys wearing for a few weeks postpartum? I was thinking I’d wear my leggings I’ve been wearing during pregnancy. However, I realized they’re too tight and would probably show a pad lol.

Also to add, I’m not looking forward to summer postpartum

@chellynic,
can I ask why? I found nursing in tank tops 1000x easier than layers and sweaters. This will be my first spring baby, so curious if I am forgetting about something.

@Ashleyoo,
I feel the same as you, I know some women feel uncomfortable in the summer postpartum though because of swim wear

@chellynic,
tbh summer postpartum was nice because I could spend a lot of time outside and taking baby in the stroller. Also loved I could wear loose and breezy clothes when I always felt hot. I didn’t swim much my first postpartum, I will this time when I feel ready, but I usually wear a rash guard and shorts anyway so i can chase my toddler around without anything popping out

Honestly I’ll probably just be in button down PJs to make it easier to breastfeed. I’ve collected a few over my pregnancy, so they will be loose and comfy.

Nursing tops, leggings, pjs and sweatpants. For me it’s all about comfort the first 6 weeks.

Nursing tank tops with a cardigan, pajama dresses/pj tops that button down. Comfy, loose pants.. I wanted nothing tight near my vagin* the first few weeks.

Ingrid&Isabel brand has some amazing postpartum leggings that I plan to wear for the first month or until it gets too hot for leggings! I lived in them after my last pregnancy.
I ordered some extra large cute tshirts from aerie and a few cute lightweight waffle button downs from Amazon to wear with the leggings or other pants/shorts when I’m ready for that

@itsmommab,
last time around I purchased actual nursing tops but I hated them so this time I’m just doing “nursing friendly” tops aka loose tshirts easy to pull up and button downs

I wear a lot of T shirt dresses, maxi dresses and robes the first week. Depending on how I feel after that, I may do leggings and athletic shorts

Sweatpants and flannels! You could also wear your leggings, and just wear a longer cardigan or flannel to cover your butt if you’re worried about seeing a pad.
