We've had these many times. I typically omit the mustard and use our panini press so no oil is needed. Very tasty and easy.

Why wouldn't you serve them to company?

I really liked this recipe, my hubby not as much. I used marbled rye bread and wish I did not use as much sauerkraut.

I like this version. I'm not a fan corned beef but my husband is and he likes this lighter version. I do make my own lighter "thousand island" dressing though.

These sandwiches are good. I wouldn't serve them to company, but for a light, healthy take on the classic reuben, we really enjoyed these! I will make them again.

Delicious, simple, and very filling meal! I went light on the sauerkraut, but boyfriend loved it. Thousand island adds a great sweetness.

This recipe is...ok. It's good, but not brilliant. I personally don't think it has the same amount of flavor as a regular reuben. But if I'm looking for something a little lighter, I think I'd consider making this again

I was expecting greatness. These sandwiches were good, but nothing amazing. I even used full-fat thousand island dressing...

I have to say it was great. I made my own 1000 dressing which was ketchup, sweet pickle relish and light mayo. I was afraid it would be a failure recipe but it was really good. I grilled them like grilled cheese as well.

This was an excellent use of leftover turkey and easy to make - great idea for a casual supper. I used a Foreman Grill - which worked very well, heating the entire sandwich. Will definitely make again!

Only three stars because this is just a classic sandwich recipe for which you don't really need a recipe. But it's good! No need for oil if you use cooking spray. I made the thousand-island dressing elsewhere on the CL website, and it was easy to make and better than bottled.

Tried this for a quick evening meal and both my husband & I thought it was delicious. I was unable to find any rye bread in our area so had to use whole wheat but it turned out great. It is a keeper.

Delicious! A great, fast and easy weeknight meal. My teenager asked me to make them again--and again and again. And I will!

Big hit with family. A really fast meal that is very good. I used my George Foreman grill and it worked well with this recipe.

Outstanding. I made my own dressing using CL's recipe from "Iceberg Lettuce Wedges with Thousand Island Dressing" and used 1/2 oz shredded full-fat swiss (per sandwich), and still only calculate about 300 cals. Whatever the count, they are great. I love traditional reubens, and while these are obviously light, that just means not as greasy! 2 minutes was plenty of time for the second side, they were starting to get a little dark.

I love this sandwich and it is a wonderful alternative to the traditional Reuben. I recalculated the nutritional information and I do not know how a previous reviewer got over 400 calories for this sandwich. With the rye bread I used at 80 calories a slice, the turkey and cheese added another 115 calories. Adding the oil and dressing, I estimate my nutritional value was 325 calories. A delicious light sandwich that I will make again.

These sandwiches were delicious! I didn't believe they'd be that good with fat free Thousand Island, but they delivered! I am very disappointed, though, with the nutritional information that My Recipes has provided. 255 calories per sandwich? Hardly. I knew that couldn't be right based on the bread alone. With the bread I used (which was 120 calories/slice), each sandwich was 430 calories, and I used vegetable spread instead of oil to cook them. Great sandwiches, just don't be fooled in to believing they're light.
